2nd Saturday events are designed for children ages 5-12 and feature hands-on events for families. Activities include art projects, interactive programs, and museum-wide events. Reservations are not required, but seating is available on a first come-first served basis. Materials and activities are included with regular admission. 2nd Saturday programs are from 1 – 2:30 pm.

We’re excited to announce a new addition to our regular 2nd Saturdays for Families programming. The hands-on activity will now include a read-out-loud program that will blend storytelling with creativity! This event will feature the book, Emperor of the Ice: How a Changing Climate Affects a Penguin Colony.

In this fun craft, guests will create penguins using up-cycled plastic water bottles.
